1917 Pullman Palace Sleeping Car wool blanket, check pattern, salmon/brown color, woven in pattern "Pullman S-17", length 82", width 56". this is an older style original PULLMAN blanket with "THE PULLMAN CO" markings. This pattern was called a chocolate blanket and was introduced in 1907. The "S" refers to the chocolate color and pattern of this blanket, while the number indicated the year of manufactured, 1917. You can see a few light areas where the fabric shows some wear, only from use, there is one thin frayed area mid-blanket but otherwise no holes or damage to the exterior. This blanket exhibits minimal fading; excellent logo and would be an excellent addition to anyone's collection.
